Caucasus Cultural Initiative Network (2012-2014)
CAUCULT was an international, intercultural project promoting local culture-related initiatives to support ethnic, religious and cultural diversity across the South Caucasus. The initiative was financed by the Eastern Partnership Culture Programm of the European Union and supported by the Austrian Development Cooperation as well as the Austrian Federal Ministry for European and International Affairs (FMEIA).
Key Dialogue Workers
The project identified, trained and empowered a broad and diverse network of cultural actors to gain relevance in the cultural development of the involved regions in Armenia, Azerbaijan and Georgia. The selected core target group – the Key Dialogue Workers – was trained and supported in implementing a series of cultural events and art activities, actively involving their local communities.
Dialog with stakeholders and opinion leaders
The political level was addressed throughout the whole project with the aim of bringing the needs of the target groups to the attention of decision makers. All different stakeholders were brought together on different levels (regional, national, international) to form sustainable networks for future cultural activities and to promote cultural diversity in the South Caucasus.
